YOUNG DUO MOVE OUT ON LOAN

Posted on: Mon 01 Feb 2010

Town youngsters Tom Denton and Lewis Nightingale has joined Unibond League Division One North side Wakefield FC on loan for one month.

Striker Denton, 20, and midfielder Nightingale, 19, will stay at College Grove until March 2nd inclusive.

This will be Tom's second loan spell with the Bears since he made the move from Wakefield to Town for an undisclosed fee in August 2008 - he made the return to Wakefield in March of last year and scored 12 goals in just 13 appearances.

6' 7" striker Tom has also gained first team experience through loan spells at Woking in late 2008 and with League Two Cheltenham Town earlier this season, where he made four appearances under former boss Martin Allen.

Conversely, this will be midfielder Nightingale's first loan move away from the Galpharm Stadium since graduating from the Huddersfield Town Academy in the summer. He has made four appearances for Paul Stephenson's reserve team this term, as well as five starts for Graham Mitchell's under-18 team as an overage player.
