TOWN'S TEAM vs. YEOVIL

Posted on: Sat 30 Jan 2010

Town boss Lee Clark has handed debuts to three of his January signings for today's game at Yeovil Town; kick-off 3pm at Huish Park.

Australian international Dean Heffernan (pictured) was granted clearance to play by the Football Association earlier this morning and makes his first appearance for Huddersfield Town at left-back in place of Robbie Williams.

Meanwhile, loanee defender Neal Trotman replaces Nathan Clarke at centre-half to make his first appearance for the Terriers.

Finally, Liverpool loanee Nathan Eccleston is handed a debut in attack alongside top scorer Jordan Rhodes, replacing Lee Novak in the starting line-up.

Another change comes on the right wing - Anthony Pilkington picked up a slight injury during training this week and is replaced by Tom Clarke, with Danny Drinkwater moving out to the wide position.

This means that the Terriers will line up 4-4-2 today, with 'keeper Alex Smithies protected by a back four of Heffernan, skipper Peter Clarke, Trotman and former Glover Lee Peltier at right-back. Drinkwater and Gary Roberts will occupy the right and left wings respectively with Tom Clarke and Antony Kay forming a robust central midfield duo, leaving Eccleston to partner Rhodes in attack.
