PELTS ON HIS RETURN TO SOMERSET

Posted on: Fri 29 Jan 2010

Town right-back Lee Peltier will make his first return to his former club Yeovil on Saturday when the Terriers face the Glovers in League One action.

The 23-year old defender will make his first return to Huish Park since departing Somerset to join Town for an undisclosed fee in the summer and is looking forward to going back - and getting a positive result.

"It will be good to go back and see my old friends, but nothing will change - we are still going down there to get the three points," 'Pelts' told the Club's official website.

"I still speak to most of the lads there because it is still pretty much the same team that I played in and Terry Skiverton was also Player/Manager at the time. He's a good guy and he's proving to be a good manager as well as a good player. He's like 'Mr. Yeovil' - he's a legend down there after coming all the way up through the Conference with them and now he's managing the team that just caps it off. I'm sure they will be looking to get the three points as well.

"I had a relatively good time at Yeovil. I really enjoyed playing regular football, but life away from the Club was a bit difficult; living such a long way away from home. It was a good experience for me though."

The Glovers have an impressive record on home soil this season, but Lee explained that the long trip holds no fear for him and his teammates.

"Yeovil have a good home record, although quite a few of their results have been draws as opposed to wins. However, we are going there to interrupt that record and get the three points.

"It's our first away game of 2010 and we've spoken about our away form quite a lot. We know exactly what we have to do, so now it's just down to getting out there and doing it.

"We want to get as many wins as possible this year - that's the simple aim! Other teams are dropping points and if we go on a little run we will be right back in there. Hopefully, we can kick-on from now."

Lee has travelled to Yeovil along with four new teammates - defenders Krystian Pearce, Neal Trotman, Dean Heffernan and striker Nathan Eccleston - and admitted that he is impressed by what he has seen in training so far.

"Player movement doesn't affect the rest of us massively, because we know these lads have been brought in to help us. That's just football - players come and players go. The four new boys have been training with us this week and we've already got to know them a bit, but as the season goes on we'll find out more. From what I've seen, they look very good."
