BRISTOL STALEMATE IS 1,000TH FL DRAW

Posted on: Wed 20 Jan 2010

Did you know that Town's 0-0 draw against Bristol Rovers at the Galpharm Stadium last night was the Club's 1,000th stalemate in the Football League?

The first draw came way back in October 1910, when manager Dick Pudan led the Terriers to a 1-1 tie at Derby County in Division Two.

The most draws in one season for the Club is 17, achieved in the 1926/27 and 1972/73 seasons. The fewest draws in a season has been just 5 in the 1937/38 campaign.

Huddersfield Town have now played 3,827 Football League matches; winning 1,479, drawing 1,000 and losing 1,348. The Terriers have scored 5,440 goals compared with 5,144 conceded.
