Huddersfield Town's game against Hartlepool this weekend will be a celebration of the Club's excellent Academy.

Our Academy has existed for ten years and during that time our reputation has grown for being a Club with one of the most productive youth systems outside the top-flight.

It's an achievement we are proud to be honouring this weekend.

The Academy has consistently produced players for the first team, from current stars such as the Clarke brothers, Michael Collins, James Berrett, Joe Skarz and Alex Smithies to popular former figures such as Jon Stead, David Mirfin, Andy Holdsworth, Jon Worthington and others.

Indeed, since the inception of the Academy in 1999, players it has produced have dominated the first XI, particularly in the days since administration in 2003.

The game will also be a celebration of the future and age groups from under10 to the scholars will be parading around the pitch before the game, a mini football game will be the half-time entertainment and free footballs will be distributed to the crowd by Academy players.
