Town boss Lee Clark has brought midfielder Jim Goodwin into the team for tonight's League One clash with Walsall at the Banks's Stadium, kick-off 7.45pm.
The 27-year old midfielder replaces Gary Roberts in the starting eleven, which means that Anthony Pilkington will occupy the left wing with Danny Drinkwater on the right side and Goodwin partnering Antony Kay in a robust central partnership.
Town should line up in a 4-4-2 formation for their tenth League game of the season, with Alex Smithies protected by a back four of Joe Skarz, Andy Butler, skipper Peter Clarke and Lee Peltier. Pilkington, Kay, Goodwin and Drinkwater make up the midfield quartet, leaving Theo Robinson to partner Jordan Rhodes in attack.
