Lee Peltier has told htafc.com that the ambition of Huddersfield Town was the deciding factor in his move from Yeovil.
The 22-year old is set to join the Club on a three year deal pending a medical later today and explained to the official website how the move came to fruition.
"My agent phoned me and informed me that Huddersfield were interested. From there, everything seems to have progressed very quickly. I spoke to Lee Clark, listened to what he had to say and automatically became interested in coming here.
"I think that Huddersfield are one of the most ambitious clubs around at the moment. The Club has the fanbase, the Stadium, the facilities and are bringing the right players in - I believe it could be a big year for Huddersfield.
"I have played against many of my new teammates before and I have seen the others play. There is a definitely a lot of quality in this team and a lot of quality players have joined over the summer, which will only make it better."
He also explained that a couple of Town's former players have given the Club glowing references in the past:
"Obviously I played with Danny Schofield at Yeovil last season and he never had a bad word to say about his time at Huddersfield. I also know Jon Worthington from his time on loan at Yeovil and he said that Huddersfield was a good club."
Peltier knows Town boss Lee Clark from a spell on trial at Norwich City - Clark's previous Club - back in January 2008.
"I only spent three days at Norwich in January, but I did work with Lee and Paul (Stephenson) and I'm looking forward to doing so again. I'm also a Liverpool fan and although I never saw him play, I have heard so many good things about Terry McDermott too."
Now that his move to Huddersfield has been agreed, Lee explained that he cannot wait to get out on the pitch and show Town fans what he is made of.
"I think I am a consistent, solid player who gives his all to the cause. I think my best position is right-back, but last season I also played at centre-back and in central midfield.
"We have tried to get the move wrapped up quickly so I can get involved in training and I can't wait to get started with the lads."
