Latest Huddersfield Town signing Theo Robinson has told htafc.com that joining the Club was too good an opportunity to turn down.

The 20-year old has dropped down a division from Championship side Watford to sign for Lee Clark's team, but explained to the Club's official website that he believes he will be playing in that division again soon with the Terriers.

"When I heard of Huddersfield's interest it presented me with an opportunity that I had to take. I want to play regularly and I believe that the Club can progress to the Championship, which I want to be a part of," said Theo.

Robinson has previously played with two of his new teammates at his previous clubs and admitted that their quality helped him make the choice to move to West Yorkshire.

"Having players like Lionel and Peter Clarke around has influenced my decision to come here very strongly because I have played with them and they know the quality they possess. Having seen some of the other Huddersfield players in the game with Southend last season I know we have a great squad here and I think these new additions mean we have a real chance to push into the league above.

"Personally, I believe I am good enough to play in the Championship but I never got the chance I thought I should have at Watford. Huddersfield is a big club with a genuine ambition to play in that division, which is where I want to be."

He also explained that his new manager has given him a simple remit going into the new season:

"The main thing Lee Clark wants from me is goals! I am the same as any striker - I want to score goals, as well as working on all the other aspects of my game. I think my strengths lie at running in behind defences and running at defenders; that's what I love to do. Playing in League One last season opened my eyes to the quality of the division a little bit and I enjoyed scoring the goals I did.

"I liked playing at the Galpharm Stadium for Southend last season and now I can't wait to pull on the shirt for our first game."
