Striker Lee Novak has told htafc.com that he cannot wait to get his Town career underway when the players reconvene for pre-season training on June 29th.
The 20-year old joined the Club from Gateshead during the January 2009 transfer window but returned to Tyneside on loan for the remainder of the season as part of the agreement and is yet to appear in the famous blue and white stripes of Huddersfield Town.
"I just can't wait to get started now!" Lee admitted to the Club's official website. "I've had my holiday and now I feel like I am sitting around, waiting for the first day of pre-season training. I moved down to my new house in Huddersfield on Saturday, so I'm getting settled in and trying to find my feet in the area."
Although he has yet to make a competitive appearance for the Club Lee trained with his new teammates at the Storthes Hall complex on a number of occasions during the second-half of last season, which he admitted has left him wanting more as he makes the step up to his first Football League club.
"I have really enjoyed the training sessions I have taken part in here, but it will be good to start properly now. I was training for two days with Gateshead and two days with Huddersfield for the second half of last season and I cannot wait to be a full-time Huddersfield player come June 29th."
Novak ended the season as top scorer in the Blue Square North division with 26 goals, despite only joining Gateshead from minnows Newcastle Blue Star in September, and was happy to end his time at the International Stadium with victory in the division's Play-Off Final.
"It was the best way that I could have finished my time at Gateshead - helping the team get promoted. I finished as top scorer in the League as well, so it doesn't get much better than that!
"Now I'm fully focussed on Huddersfield. I have been constantly checking the Club's website ever since I joined - it was obviously the first result I checked as soon as we finished on a Saturday. I know that we have sold over 10,300 season tickets and I can't wait to play in front of crowds of that size and more - it will be a lot different to playing in front of 500 people like I'm used to. I can't wait!"
