TOWN'S TEAM vs. LEYTON ORIENT

Posted on: Sat 02 May 2009

Town boss Lee Clark has handed a debut to goalkeeper Simon Eastwood in one of two changes to the starting eleven for today's final League One game of the 2008/09 season at Leyton Orient, kick-off 3pm.

The 19-year old custodian replaces Alex Smithies, who is at Brisbane Road this afternoon but is left out of the sixteen. Eastwood has gained first-team experience during a successful loan spell at Woking earlier this season but this will be his first appearance for Town's first team.

The other change comes in midfield, where the fit-again Anthony Pilkington replaces Michael Flynn.

It looks like Town will revert to a traditional 4-4-2 formation for today's game with Eastwood playing behind a back four of Robbie Williams, Andy Butler, Captain Nathan Clarke and Martin Kelly. Pilkington and Gary Roberts will occupy the wings for Town with Michael Collins and Tom Clarke the central midfield partnership, leaving Danny Cadamarteri to partner Andy Booth on his final professional appearance as he searches for his 150th Town goal.
