Town's newly crowned Player of the Year Gary Roberts has told htafc.com that he wants to win this season's final game at Leyton Orient for the Club's tremendous fans.
Robbo told the Club's official website that the Terriers should still be involved in the race for promotion from League One, but that a potential 8th placed finish in the division is still something to aim for at the Matchroom Stadium on Saturday.
"Given our standards we should have finished higher up the League - we should still be in the mix for promotion," Gary explained. "The teams in there now, like Scunthorpe and Tranmere, are no better than us.
"In the end, 8th place in the League wouldn't be too bad and we have to go Orient and go for the win on Saturday. We need to do it for the travelling fans that will be there, because they have been unbelievable all season. Even when we haven't been playing too well they have travelled in numbers and we will try and win for them."
The Club are expecting a large away following in London this weekend as Andy Booth is set to make his final appearance for the Club and Robbo admits that the legendary striker deserves all the plaudits after his tremendous career.
"In all seriousness, he is unbelievable. He's scoring goals every week at the moment and it's been a pleasure to play with someone of such stature here. He deserves every plaudit for what he has done for this club and football in general and he is already a great ambassador.
"He missed a lot of the pre-season and early season with his back injury, but I could see immediately what he meant to the fans here from the reaction he received when he did feature. It's a shame that I haven't had the chance to play with him more because he is a great target man. I take my hat off to him."
Roberts has his own agenda this weekend; he was awarded the 'Golden Boot' at Town's Annual Awards Ceremony last Saturday after netting 11 goals this term but Michael Collins is hot on his heels with 10 and could potentially pass him at Orient.
"There's a chance that Michael could win the golden boot this weekend, so he shouldn't expect any passes from me!" Robbo joked.
"Michael has had a great season and his ten goals have been a great return, especially when you consider he didn't feature much under the previous manager. Even when he wasn't playing, it was clear from training that he was a good player and maybe if he had started the season in the team he would have got a few more.
"We have some great goalscoring midfielders at the Club; Flynny has scored quite a few and Ian (Craney) has got six too. It is just a case of fitting two of them into the side and it's always going to be tough on someone."
Whatever happens, nobody will be taking the prestigious Hargreaves Memorial Playerof the Year trophy away from Roberts after his tremendous campaign. With 11 goals and 14 assists from a massive 46 appearances, the winger has had a pretty good debut season at the Galpharm Stadium and has joined an impressive list of names that have previously won the trophy - legends such as Mally Brown, Duncan Shearer, Tom Cowan and of course Andy Booth.
"I was very proud to win all the awards; particularly the Hargreaves Memorial Trophy. I have seen some of the names that have won that award previously and I'm delighted to have my name carved in alongside them.
"I think I have to be happy with my season - for a midfielder to score that amount of goals and get that many assists is decent. My target at the start of the season was 10 goals but in reality I could have scored 15 or 20. I have been a little bit disappointed in myself and my form towards the end of the season, but looking back at the season as a whole I am happy with what I have done."
