Town striker Tom Denton scored his 7th goal for loan club Wakefield FC in just his 4th game as the Bears recorded a 4-2 victory at Woodley Sports in the Unibond League Division One North.
The 6' 7" forward sent a superb looping header over the Woodley goalkeeper from a Caldon Henson cross in just the ninth minute to extend his side's lead to two goals before flicking on to setup the fourth goal later in the game.
Denton was subbed in the last minute of the game, whereas fellow Town loanee completed all ninety minutes at left-back for Wakefield.
The Bears now host Durham City at their College Grove ground on Tuesday night and both players will be hoping to feature.
Fellow Town loanee Lee Novak played well during Gateshead's 1-0 Blue Square North win over Stalybridge Celtic on Saturday but didn't add to his 25 goal haul. Novak was praised for several good runs throughout the game and went close to scoring on two occasions - having an angled shot saved in the first-half before firing over from sixteen yards out in the second.
The Tynesiders remain on top of the Blue Square North and will be hoping for another three points when they host Hinckley United on Saturday.
Keigan Parker played his fifth game for Hartlepool United at the weekend, but was substituted after 70 minutes of their 3-2 defeat at home to promotion-chasing Millwall. The Scotsman started the move for Hartlepool's second goal and sent another shot over the bar in the opening half but is yet to open his account for the Monkey Hangers.
Hartlepool's game at Southend United on Friday night is currently set to be Parker's last for the Club.
Town's other loanee, Jon Worthington, served the first match of his two game suspension whilst his Yeovil teammates drew 0-0 at home to MK Dons on Saturday. He will also miss their home game against Swindon next Saturday, but will be available for selection again on Tuesday 31st when the Glovers travel to Northampton Town.
