Town's 19-year old goalkeeper Alex Smithies has been called up to the England under-19 squad for their upcoming game against the Czech Republic.
Smithies, who recently signed a new long-term deal at the Club, will join up with his international colleagues to face the Eastern European side at Walsall's Banks's Stadium on Wednesday 25th March.
Alex will not miss any of Town's first-team games during his spell with the national side - the game falls in a free week for Lee Clark's side.
The Town Academy graduate has already been capped once at this level and has impressed everyone since breaking into the first team side back in December; he has now made 20 appearances for the first-team.
