LOAN WATCH - FOUR TERRIERS PLAY

Posted on: Mon 23 Feb 2009

All four of Town's loanees featured for their respective clubs over the weekend.

Midfielder Jon Worthington played his fourth game for League One side Yeovil Town as they drew 2-2 with promotion-chasing Oldham Athletic at Huish Park in new manager Terry Skiverton's first game in charge of the Glovers. 'Worthy' picked up a second booking in the green and white hoops, taking him to a total of eight for the season. Yeovil's next game comes on Tuesday night when they travel to Crewe Alexandra for a 7.45pm kick-off.

19-year old goalkeeper Simon Eastwood played in his 14th game for Blue Square Premier side Woking, but could not prevent his side losing 1-0 at Altrincham courtesy of a goal from former Town junior Chris Senior. 'Easty' impressed once again for the Cards, making one great save from striker Senior in the 53rd minute to keep his side in the game.

Strike duo Lee Novak and Danny Broadbent both started Gateshead's 1-0 win over Hucknall that kept the Tynesiders top of the Blue Square North. The game was recent signing Novak's 21st of the season, in which he has scored 18 goals, whereas Broadbent was playing his first for the side following his move to the Club. In front of Gateshead's best home crowd of the season, a goal from substitute Harwood settled the clash and the duo will be hoping to feature again as the team travel to Stalybridge Celtic on Tuesday night.
