PLAYERS EYE LANDMARKS AT CREWE

Posted on: Fri 20 Feb 2009

Several Town players could reach career milestones during Town's game at Crewe Alexandra this weekend.

In-form left-back Robbie Williams has impressed many Town fans with a string of accomplished performances at left-back recently - if he appears at Crewe this weekend, it will be his 50th appearance in the famous Blue and White stripes of Huddersfield. Similarly, Tom Clarke will also make his 50th Town appearance if he makes it onto the pitch at the weekend.

Captain Andy Holdsworth has been a mainstay of Lee Clark's Town side at right-back since the manager's arrival in mid-December and is in line to make his 225th appearance in the League at Gresty Road on Saturday.

Centre-back Andy Butler is set to make the 175th start of his professional career at centre-back alongside Nathan Clarke and should midfielder James Berrett feature, it will be his 25th League appearance.

Should Phil Jevons score at the Alexandra Stadium, it will be his 100th goal of a career that has seen him play for Everton, Grimsby Town, Hull City, Yeovil Town and Bristol City.
