Andy Butler is looking for Town to continue their string of solid defensive performances when Swindon visit the Galpharm Stadium this weekend.
The 25-year old was at his dominant best during Town's 1-1 draw with Northampton Town last weekend, when the Terriers were denied all three points by a cruel added time equaliser, and told htafc.com that the side need to keep that form going ahead of this weekend's clash with the Robins.
"We are still unbeaten this year and as long as we are not making mistakes and conceding sloppy goals that is an indicator that we are going fairly well," Andy told the Club's official website. "As long as we keep doing the right things, eventually we will start winning these games.
"The Northampton equaliser was hard to take - it was a real sucker-punch. We had played well all game and defended really well, so it was gutting to concede like we did in the last minute. We will keep going though.
"We actually thought there had been a foul in the run-up to their goal - Akinfenwa pushed Nathan before the cross. To be fair it was a great strike from him at the end and it's a little frustrating to have that happen, especially as it was another brilliant strike that we conceded against Oldham the week before."
Butler and co have had a new goalkeeper behind them in recent weeks with the introduction of Alex Smithies to the starting eleven and Butler explained that he feels comfortable with either of Town's first team custodians behind him.
"Both are great 'keepers; Matty (Glennon) has experience, but Alex is learning quickly. Whoever we are playing in front of, both have performed well this season and it hasn't made a massive difference to us as a defence - it depends on how we play.
"I was told upon my arrival that Alex was a good goalkeeper but I didn't really get a chance to see him in action at the beginning of the season but now he has come into the team he is doing really well and is keeping the shirt at the moment. He constantly communicates with the defence and I'm sure he has a bright future."
The switch back to 4-4-2 under Lee Clark has seen Butler partnered with Nathan Clarke in the heart of Town's defence and the pair have impressed in recent weeks, keeping some of League One's leading marksman at bay.
"I'm happy with my own game," said Andy. "I have already said that I didn't feel that I was at my best at the start of the season but I seem to have come into form now and I seem to be forming a good partnership with Nathan, which I am really enjoying.
"I am looking forward to every game now and this Saturday is no different. We did well at their place earlier in the season - I thought it could have been 7-1 as opposed to 3-1 - but they have a new manager that their players will be looking to impress. It will be down to us though and we want to keep our recent home form going."
