htafc.com can today confirm that the Club approached Norwich City for permission to speak to their Assistant Manager Lee Clark over becoming the new manager of Huddersfield Town and that talks are now at an advanced stage.

The 36-year old former Newcastle United and Fulham midfielder has been number two to Glenn Roeder at Carrow Road since November 2007.

Chairman-elect Dean Hoyle explained the approach to the Club's official website:

"We approached Norwich City for permission to talk to Lee Clark yesterday (Tuesday) about becoming our new manager and they allowed it.

"An undisclosed compensation package has been agreed between the two clubs and we are now at an advanced stage of negotiations with Lee."
