GOODWIN SUSPENDED FOR BRIGHTON

Posted on: Mon 17 Nov 2008

Town midfielder Jim Goodwin will miss this weekend's trip to Brighton and Hove Albion after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season during the dramatic 2-1 derby win at Leeds United on Saturday.

Goodwin was arguably Man of the Match at Elland Road in his preferred holding midfield position but was shown his fifth yellow card of the season in the 78th minute by referee Mark Halsey for a late challenge on Leeds substitute Jermaine Beckford, meaning he will now serve a one-match ban.

Keigan Parker will be able to play at the Withdean Stadium this weekend ahead of his upcoming three-match ban for a straight red card in last week's reserve game at York City; his suspension begins on Tuesday 25th November.
