Vale were relegated from League One last season and recently changed manager, with one-time Town centre-back Lee Sinnott being replaced by Dean Glover. Since that change, they have won three of their last four games.

The sides last met back in April, when we came away with a point after a goalless draw at Vale Park. We have previously clashed in the FA Cup twice, with each side boasting one win - Vale back in December 1993 and Town in the 75/76 season.
