TOM JOINS BRADFORD ON LOAN

Posted on: Thu 23 Oct 2008

Town defender Tom Clarke has joined League Two side Bradford City on a month's loan this morning.

The 20-year old defender has only made one appearance for Stan Ternent's side so far this season in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Darlington and will move to Valley Parade until mid-November with the hope of playing regular football.

The former England under-19 international went on loan to Halifax Town in February of last season, playing seven games for the Shaymen before returning to the Galpharm Stadium and featuring in Town's impressive end of season run under the caretaker stewardship of Gerry Murphy.

Bradford boss Stuart McCall had publically stated he was looking for a centre-back on loan to cover for the injured Mark Bower ahead of their trip to Grimsby Town on Friday and Tom fits this bill; he will be hoping to play against the Mariners, when he could come up against fellow Town loanee Malvin Kamara.
