LIAM ENJOYING LIFE AT TOWN

Posted on: Wed 24 Sep 2008

htafc.com talked to Town striker Liam Dickinson following the extension of his loan spell from Derby County and he admitted that it was an easy decision to stay at the Galpharm Stadium.

The 22-year old forward has netted two goals in five starts for the Terriers and told the Club's official website that the fans are still to see the best from him.

"It was an easy decision to stay," the former Stockport County man explained. "I talked to Paul Jewell about extending my loan and given that I wouldn't be getting into the Derby County side at the moment, he said the decision was down to me. I'm enjoying my time at the Club and I'm playing regularly, so I'm happy to stay."

"There's still more to come from me. I was short of games when I first arrived here, but I feel 100% match fit now. I thought we put a decent team performance in against Northampton on Saturday, but I still think there is more to come from all of us."

Dickinson - who in recently been likened to A-Team member Mr. T for his new moheican hairstyle - forged a new strike partnership with Andy Booth against Northampton at the weekend and 'Mr. D' admitted that the Town legend is a pleasure to play with.

"He's a great player, but playing alongside him meant I had to do a lot of extra running! In all seriousness, he's a class act and he's such an influence on the team here."

Next up for Stan Ternent's side is a visit to league leaders Oldham Athletic on Saturday afternoon and Liam told us that he is backing the team to come away with a result.

"We've got a tough game at Oldham Athletic this Saturday. I know a few of their lads and they always seem to start the season well, but our lads are up for it and have we've been working hard in training all week."
