TOWN'S TEAM vs. BRADFORD

Posted on: Tue 12 Aug 2008

Town boss Stan Ternent has made three changes to the starting eleven for this evening's Carling Cup Round One tie against Bradford City at the Galpharm Stadium, kick-off 7.45pm.

With Andy Booth unavailable due to an ankle injury, Luke Beckett starts his first game of the season up front alongside former Bantam Danny Cadamarteri. Ternent has also chosen to rest experienced left-back Dave Unsworth, with Robbie Williams (pictured) replacing him in defence.

The final change comes in central midfield; Jon Worthington will partner Jim Goodwin, with Michael Collins having to be happy with a place on the bench alongside six other players.

This means that Matt Glennon will make his 350th career appearance in goal for the Terriers behind a back four of (from right to left) Andy Holdsworth, skipper Chris Lucketti, Andy Butler and Williams. Gary Roberts and Michael Flynn are expected to start on the right and left sides of midfield respectively, leaving Goodwin and Worthington in the engine room with Beckett partnering Cadamarteri in attack.
