Town boss Stan Ternent has revealed to htafc.com that he has now agreed a deal with 34-year old defender David Unsworth, subject to a medical.

The former Everton left-back has been on trail at the Club for the last fortnight and has impressed in his two performances against Sheffield United and Arsenal.

An ex-England international, Dave will not undergo his medical until Monday but Ternent explained that he will be available for selection against Stockport tomorrow.

"We have agreed a deal with David, subject to his medical that will take place on Monday. However, he has signed a non-contract registration with us today and will therefore be available for selection and in the squad for tomorrow's game against Stockport County."

Unsworth has been handed the number 21 shirt.
