GET DOWN EARLY...
Town have a raft of pre, half-time and post match entertainment surrounding tonight's special Centenary game against Arsenal.
With a massive crowd of 17,000 plus expected for the game, the Club is urging fans to get to the Stadium as early as possible to enjoy the pre-match entertainment ahead of the 7pm kick-off.
Please be aware that there are currently roadworks at the bottom of Halifax Road, just before it joins the ring road that could delay drivers heading from the M62 towards the ground - adding to what will already be a heavy traffic flow in the area as rush hour comes to an end.
Turnstiles open from 5:45 when face painters will be at the ground to add to the carnival atmosphere.
Huddersfield-based folk musician Roger Davies will be in the Fantastic Media Stand entertaining guests before doing the same in the main banqueting suite in the Direct Golf UK Stand where a number of Town legends will be around to talk to supporters.
The Centenary Draw will take place at 6:15 when the grand prize of £2,008 and 5 prizes of £100 will be drawn. That will be followed by one of the UK's top football freestylers, Billy Wingrove, who is always a popular figure at the Galpharm.
Town will then build up to the game with a special historic DVD before the big kick-off, with the ticket office expected to be busy throughout.
At half -time, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood will present a bust of Herbert Chapman to Town chairman Ken Davy and Chairman Elect, Dean Hoyle. This will be followed by a 5-a-side game on the pitch and the Golden Gamble draw.
After the final whistle, a fireworks display will bring the game to a close but not before the Herbert Chapman Trophy has been presented to the winners.
