GLENNON: "I KNEW I'D BE STAYING"

Posted on: Wed 07 May 2008

htafc.com talked to a delighted Matt Glennon today about his two year contract extension with the Club.

The 29-year old goalkeeper is Stan Ternent's second signing at Town following Andy Booth's contract extension and he explained that he is already looking forward to next season - despite the 07/08 season having concluded only five days ago!

"I'm very pleased to have signed, as it's taken quite a while. I'm really looking forward to next season now," Matt told the official website.

"It was great to hear the Gaffer saying he wanted to keep me here as soon as he arrived. He came to me straight away and we had a meeting about my situation immediately. After the first meeting, I knew I would be staying at the Club.

"Our aim next season will be the same as the last two campaigns: promotion to the Championship. However, as the Gaffer has said to me, we're going to achieve it this coming season - by hook or by crook!"
