Town's first-choice goalkeeper Matthew Glennon has today signed a two year contract extension, with the Club having an option on a third year.
Glennon, 29, was brought to the Galpharm Stadium on a free transfer by Peter Jackson in the summer of 2006 from Scottish side St. Johnstone and immediately established himself as the Club's number one. He has now played 101 games in just two seasons for Town and was runner-up to Andy Holdsworth in the 2008 Player of the Year awards.
Matt was out of contract in the summer, but new manager Stan Ternent has been clear in his intention to sign up the big shot-stopper and he has told htafc.com that he is delighted to get his man.
Ternent said: "I'm pleased to have Matt signed up, as I rate him as highly as any goalkeeper in this League and I see him as an integral part of the squad."
