WILL TOWN SQUASH THE ORANGE HOODOO?

Posted on: Thu 01 May 2008

Town will line up in their third strip of Orange shirts and black shorts this weekend hoping to break the hoodoo that has jinxed the kit in its short one-year lifespan.

With hosts Luton Town playing in a white and black strip on Saturday, Town boss Gerry Murphy will be looking to end the run of two defeats from two in the Orange strip in order to complete an unbeaten second reign as caretaker manager.

The Orange ensemble made its unhappy debut during the 4-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at Grimsby Town back in early September before falling to a defeat by the same scoreline at Southend United on December 5th. Hopefully it will have more luck in the final game of the season under Gerry Murphy!
