Following on from Saturday's announcement about Season Ticket prices, htafc.com caught up with Director of Business Development Sean Jarvis to talk about the plans to promote the announcement in order to make the whole of Huddersfield aware of the offer!
"Our aim is to try and leave no stone unturned in getting the message out there," Sean told the official website. "Naturally we have a budget to follow but we have to ensure that the message is communicated to the community of Kirklees and beyond."
Sean also took time to praise the response and helpfulness of Town supporters since the announcement.
"I would like to pay tribute to volunteers that are helping to distribute 'Town Talk', our key season ticket literature, which of course carries an application form on the back page.
"A number of supporters and supporters groups including the Trust and FFA have volunteered to drop the Centenary edition off at key areas such as Wakefield, Dewsbury and Brighouse. This is a great gesture by the fans and once again goes to demonstrate how the Club and its supporters can work together. I will be meeting with key individuals today to talk about the areas and how we can continue to attract new supporters. To be honest I believe that this is the best way of communicating to potential fans. Who better to 'sell' Huddersfield than its supporters!
"However, we are not solely relying on volunteers and 20,000 copies of Town Talk are also being distributed through our network of other supporters including newsagents and clubs that are involved in our 'On The Move Lottery' and of course we will be distributing copies to petrol stations, supermarkets and sponsors like Subway, who have four outlets around the area.
"We effectively have a window until the 23rd of May to ensure that the World knows about this.
"One element of the campaign that seems to be working well is our poster campaign, but we are still encouraging fans to download the poster from the official website (click HERE to download it now) and place it up in work canteens, pubs and sports clubs; anywhere our fans believe it can make a difference. In simple the wider the message the greater the audience the higher the crowd next season.
"Additionally we are working with a number of businesses in highly visible locations who have kindly agreed to display banners at their premises. They include Noor restaurant on Leeds Road, Cooper Bridge Spares in a very busy traffic spot just off the M62, stand sponsors Antich - on the hill also on Leeds Road, Ramsdens in Mirfield and Heckmondwike Grammar School to mention just a few.
"Apart from businesses in great locations we have also got a couple of billboards that originally were promoting the April 12th day but have now changed to promote the £100 season ticket price. Hopefully lots of passing traffic will spot them.
"We are also at the moment finalizing a series of advertising campaigns in other key areas such as Halifax, Bradford, Leeds, and Wakefield. Again these are all key areas where we do get a lot of support but are also sure we can attract a bigger audience. If the budget can stretch we will also look at bus advertising and other poster sites.
"There are lots of other audiences too that we are aiming at; they include the Fans of the Future, including a far reaching network of schools. It's our aim to make sure they are aware of this campaign too.
"We are also aiming to speak to the national media to make sure that they are talking about Town and the Centenary offer that is available.
"As you can see we are trying everything within our budget to make sure the world knows about Town and it's Centenary.
"I'd encourage all our fans - please aim to pass on this message and encourage as many fans as possible to buy a Season Ticket for the Centenary. I am sure it is going to be a great season!"
