DAVY: "OUR SUPPORTERS DESERVE BETTER."

Posted on: Tue 18 Mar 2008

Town Chairman Ken Davy has today spoken out after Town's disappointing display against Southend at the weekend.

In a statement, the Galpharm chief said: "Huddersfield supporters deserve more from their team than is currently being delivered, particularly on our home turf. They have a right to expect to see passion, determination and enthusiasm from their team and quite simply, this is not being delivered.

"Southend are a pretty good side but during the first half of Saturday's match we made them look like Premiership material and whilst we improved significantly in the second half it was not enough to bring us the points.

"What is particularly disappointing is that we have some excellent players who take real pride in playing for this great Club and we have achieved some terrific scalps this season, including the victory over Birmingham.

"All too often however, we are failing to perform at our best and we need to put that right as soon as possible for the benefit of everyone who supports Huddersfield Town."
