LUCAS LOAN LENGTHENED

Posted on: Mon 21 Jan 2008

Town's 18-year old striker Lucas Akins has extended his loan at Blue Square Premier outfit Northwich Victoria for a further month.

The Academy graduate has done well for the Trickies since making the move there on November 22nd and with his loan spell due to end after last weekend's trip to Burton Albion, Northwich manager Dino Maamria and Town chief Andy Ritchie have agreed to let Lucas stay at the Drill Field until February 16th.

When Lucas joined the Club they had failed to win a single game but his eight game spell in the side has seen Northwich pick up three wins and one draw, with Akins notching a goal and contributing several assists for strike partner Lee Steele.

Keep checking htafc.com for updates on Akins' performances, starting with next weekend's game at home to Halifax Town.
