A few injuries have hit first-team players late on in the week to force Andy Ritchie into four changes to today's starting eleven against Premiership side Birmingham City in the Third Round of the FA Cup sponsored by E.ON, kick-off 3pm.
Centre-back Nathan Clarke is suspended for today's game after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season against Northampton Town on December 29th and he is joined on the sidelines by injury victims Jon Worthington (hamstring) and Andy Booth (slight thigh strain); the latter two having picked up niggles in training on Friday.
On-loan Phil Jevons is only fit enough for the bench today as the number of games over the festive period has left the striker feeling tight, so in come Chris Brandon, James Berrett (pictured), Danny Schofield and Luke Beckett to the side as Ritchie switched to five in midfield. Young Irish midfielder Berrett is making his full debut for the Terriers this afternoon and his first appearance of the season.
A final note - Andy Holdsworth is captaining the side for the first time today.
