This weekend sees the introduction of the Premiership big guns to the most prestigious cup competition in Football - The FA Cup. Come three o'clock on Saturday, it will be all eyes on the Galpharm where Andy Ritchie's men look to cause an upset when they face Birmingham City and boss Alex McLeish.
Although Town go into Saturdays third round tie two divisions and 42 places below their Premiership opponents they have a superior record in the FA Cup.The Terriers have won the trophy once, defeating Preston 1-0 way back in 1922. Birmingham have never won the prestigious competition, reaching the final and finishing runners up on two occasions.
The two sides have met five times in the FA Cup and Town fans will be pleased to know that the Terriers lead the way by three wins to two. With Birmingham struggling near the bottom of the Premiership and without an away win in three games the omens are good for a giant killing at the Galpharm.
