Lucas Akins will be wearing the green of Northwich Victoria for a further month after extending his loan with the Blue Square Premier outfit for a further month today.

The 18-year old striker will stay at the Victoria Stadium until January 19th if the paperwork is completed as expected later this afternoon.

Huddersfield-born Lucas has impressed with bottom of the table Northwich since joining the Club in late November, striking up an apparently instant rapport with strike partner Lee Steele and playing a vital part in the Trickies' first two wins of the season.

Northwich manager Dino Maamria described the move as 'a massive boost' when talking to local paper the Northwich Guardian yesterday.
