At Saturday's match against Oldham Athletic we welcomed 50 children who were presented before the game with their Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants replica shirts as part of the Sporting Pride 7's Scheme. Terry the Terrier, Big G, Andy Booth and Lucas Akins were on hand to present the shirts to the children.

A joint venture between Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants under the Fans of the Future Initiative, the 7's Scheme - kindly sponsored by Yorkshire Building Society - has gone from strength to strength over the three years it has been running. Each child who registers receives a Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants replica shirt on or around their 7th birthday. The success of the scheme depends largely on the active participation of the schools, which is vital for widespread coverage and age verification. Details of the 7's Scheme have been sent to all schools in Kirklees, Wakefield and Calderdale and we would ask you to encourage your local school to participate.

Growth of support in our schools is a very important part of Huddersfield Town and Huddersfield Giants development and throughout the season both Clubs will be running promotions under the Fans of the Future Initiative which will offer all children and their families the opportunity to take part.
