htafc.com talked to Danny Cadamarteri after the 2-0 win over Luton Town at the Galpharm Stadium - a game that featured his full debut and first goal in Town colours.
"Obviously I'm delighted with the result and to get on the score-sheet is an added bonus for me. We were looking for a good home performance and I think we delivered today.
"We always look to try and get on top early on and I think we did that against Cheltenham, but we let it slip. When we went a goal in front today, we knew we couldn't just lay on our laurels - we had to push on and get another goal.
"We knew it would be a tough game today and they will have come here in good spirits after their midweek result against Charlton, but we had a game-plan and we stuck to our guns.
"The Gaffer told me not to go 'all-guns-blazing' into the game as I'd just come back from an injury, so I waited until I was eased into the game and then I tried to stretch the opposition. I wanted to give the team a slightly different option to the physical one that Boothy and Becks (Luke Beckett) have been offering.
"We broke well for my goal, although obviously they were a man down which will have made things a little bit easier. I just had to make sure I stayed onside as I was in acres of space; Andy gave me a decent pass and then it was just a matter of keeping my composure. It was a great feeling to get my first goal at home - I thought about going into the stand and up the steps, but I don't want to do myself an injury! I wanted to go over to the fans and show a bit of appreciation for the good reception they have given me, as well as their patience with me throughout my injury."
