Town striker Luke Beckett has made the initial League One 'Team of the Week', as selected by the Press Association on behalf of the Football League.

The 30-year old former Chester and Stockport man scored the only goal in the opening day victory over Yeovil Town at the Galpharm Stadium, nodding home an excellent cross from strike partner Danny Schofield after good work from Chris Brandon on the left wing.

However, Beckett impressed with his all-round play and deservedly takes his place in the League One select.

He is also expected to feature in tonight's Carling Cup Round One tie at Blackpool.
