The Blackburn result was exactly what Town needed after a disappointing defeat and performance against League Two's Rochdale last Saturday. With tomorrow's battle a more accurate reflection than Blackburn of what Town will face this coming season, Ritchie will be after a more dogged performance in a very different type of game.

With just a week to go until the season kicks off, the Town fans travelling to Mansfield will be hoping for more joy that the last away game.

Only striker Andy Booth is injured and Frank Sinclair, who sat out the entire Blackburn game, looks set to start. All players will travel and although Ritchie's starting XI will not be too dissimilar to his starting XI in next week's curtain-raiser, he is keeping team selection very close to his chest.
