Striker Oliver Templeton is getting a second bite of the cherry having been a 1st Year Scholar for the season just gone. He was forced to drop out late last year after picking up a bad injury, but he's back again to learn at one of the League's most successful Academies.
Defender Leigh Franks has joined the Club from Bridlington Town after impressing for them last season. The versatile player can play as either a centre-back or a left-back.
Of the other 12, to most recognisable name will be that of striker Dave Heagney, who has recently been capped by the Republic of Ireland at under-16 level.
Danny Barlow and Chris Pert join Templeton and Heagney as the striking options with Spencer Harris, Liam Ridehalgh and Dave Pickering all defenders. Stephen Brook and Jack Hunt can both play as full-backs or on either wing (left and right respectively), with Lewis Collinson, Luke Durham, Lewis Nightingale and Luke Williams also playing in midfield.
Town also have six players commencing the 2nd Year of their Academy scholarships - defenders Daniel Codman and Shane Killock, midfielders Thomas Jackson and Curtis Roberts, striker Daniel Broadbent and England under-17 goalkeeper Alex Smithies.
Generally, the under-18 team play matches at Storthes Hall kicking-off at 11am on Saturday mornings. Keep checking htafc.com for the new fixture list for the 07/08 season so that you can go up and watch the next generation of Town star!
