Town have the local bragging rights after a dramatic late win over Leeds United at Elland Road today. Having conceded an early goal through Robert Snodgrass, Town struck back within 45 seconds of the restart through Joe Skarz's first for the Club before Michael Collins grabbed an added time winner thanks to a great run from substitute Danny Cadamarteri. The players threw their shirts into the jubilant travelling supporters at the final whistle, as it was Town's first win at Elland Road since 1983.
Town started the game in a 3-5-2 formation, with 'keeper Glennon playing behind a defensive trio of Clarke, Butler and Berrett. Skarz and skipper Holdsworth played as left and right wing-backs respectively, with Goodwin playing just behind Craney and Collins in central midfield. Up front, Roberts partnered Parker.
GOAL - Leeds had plenty of the ball in the early stages and took the lead with their first attempt on goal through Robert Snodgrass. The build-up play came down the Town right, with striker Becchio eventually delivering a high, hanging ball into the far post. Skarz was looking to let the ball drift over him before collecting it, but the Leeds man got in behind the full-back to prod in from extremely close range.
Town fought back immediately, with Roberts flighting a good free-kick just over the bar from the right corner of Leeds' penalty area after left-back Parker had fouled our his Town namesake.
The Terriers went on the attack again a minute later, with Craney feeding Parker the ball just inside the Leeds area. Unfortunately for the travelling Town faithful, his shot on the turn flew over the crossbar.
Highly-rated Leeds midfielder Fabian Delph tried his luck with a long range shot in the 13th minute, but the ball dribbled way wide of Glennon's left-hand post.
Both sides were playing some good stuff, with Town's strike partnership of Parker and Roberts looking lively and causing the Leeds defence a few issues with good movement. However, Leeds looked equally dangerous going forward.
Andy Robinson had the ball in the Town goal in the 20th minute, but his strike was correctly ruled out for offside.
At the other end, Roberts collected a Craney knock down in the 21st minute before shooting wide of Casper Ankergren's goal.
Town constructed a great move in the 27th minute; Andy Butler fed the ball into Ian Craney on the edge of the box, who skipped past one defender but knocked the ball past the onrushing Leeds' keeper and out for a goal kick.
BOOKING - Nathan Clarke became the first player to receive a yellow card in the 35th minute; the Town defender overran the ball and clattered into Snodgrass as he stretched to win it back.
Town started to enjoy more possession as half-time approached, but the final ball and a few spurned opportunities to shoot around the Leeds box meant that Ankergren wasn't really tested.
The dangerous Snodgrass saw his curling effort deflected onto the roof of Matt Glennon's net with the Town 'keeper beaten in the 40th minute.
Michael Collins collected a deep left wing free-kick from Gary Roberts as the half drew to a close, but badly screwed his attempted half volley over the crossbar from an acute angle.

The celebrations took place right in front of the jubilant Town fans in the South East corner of the ground.
Leeds hit back, with left-back Ben Parker going on a mazy run into the Town penalty area in the 50th minute. He beat three men before turning onto his right foot and curling the ball towards the far post, with Butler doing well to get back on the line to clear to safety.

The Scottish striker rounded the goalkeeper, but was driven wide of goal and could only loft his shot over the crossbar.

The Town forward tried to volley the ball over Casper Ankergren from long range, but only succeeded in hitting the ball wide of goal.
The home supporters were becoming audibly frustrated in the second-half as Town defended well and pressed for their own second. Sub Worthington collected a good pass from Goodwin on the stroke of the 70th minute, but floated a shot well over the bar.
The dangerous Beckford then ran at Nathan Clarke with the ball a minute later before trying a curler around Matt Glennon, but the big 'keeper did brilliantly - diving to his left side and turning the ball around the post for a corner.
From that set-piece, Snodgrass' delivery from the right was headed against the bar by striker Becchio.
SUB - Leeds brought Dave Prutton and Jonny Howson into the game in the 76th minute; they replaced Delph and Douglas in midfield.
