Town's high-noon showdown finished in stalemate after a hard fought 90 minutes in a typically full-blooded Yorkshire derby. The Terriers had the better of the first half and, whilst the visitors came back into the game in the second half, Booth was unlucky on several occasions not to break the deadlock.
Town had the first effort on target in the first minute after good link up play between Worthington, Abbott and Taylor-Fletcher saw the latter fire in a cross-cum-shot which keeper Ricketts held at his near post.
Referee Mason had his book out within the first five minute when he cautioned the 'popular' Windass for a rash lunge on Clarke.
The visitors created their first opportunity of the game on 8 minutes when a surging run from Morrison was halted by a superb covering tackle from Danny Adams who conceded a corner.
Town forced their first corner just before the quarter of an hour mark when Worthington's shot from the edge of the area was deflected behind by Weatherall. The corner was half cleared and Town remained on the attack with Schofield floating in a near post cross from the left with which Mirf bulged the side netting.
Bradford's Bower made a vital interception for his side on 18 minutes when Fletch collected a great Adams ball in the box but the covering defender cleared the ball just as the Town striker was about to pull the trigger.
Town continued to have the better chances and, midway through the half, Schofield crossed to the far post for Fletch who put his header over the bar.
Minutes later Bradford threatened through Cadamateri who had a good opportunity to break the deadlock when he turned Clarke on half way and bore down on goal. As Mirf made up the lost ground the City player let fly but was denied by the legs of a well-placed Rachubka.
Town were quickly back on the offensive and centre-back Mirfin showed sublime skills to turn Weatherall and advance to the by-line where his cross to the middle was scrambled clear by the City defence.
Rachubka made a brave block just after the half hour mark when Cadamateri forged through on goal but Rabs was equally quick off his line and dived at the feet of the advancing striker.
Booth went close with an effort two minutes before the break when he collected a Taylor -Fletcher cross from the right but saw his header loop over the cross bar.

Bradford hit the post two minutes after the break when a Schumacher free-kick from 10 yards inside the Town area was floated into the box for Bower who flicked the ball on and saw his header rattle Rabs' right-hand post.
12 minutes into the second half Bridge-Wilkinson had an effort from distance which was well struck and straight at Rabs who collected at the second attempt.
On the hour mark Schumacher was entered into referee Mason's book for a rash challenge on Pawel Abbott in the centre-circle.
On 65 minutes Jon Worthington tried his luck with a speculative effort which was easily held by Ricketts.
Jacko was forced into his first change of the afternoon on 66 minutes when the injured Abbott was replaced by Brandon who joined the midfield with Taylor-Fletcher moving up to join Booth in Town's twin-pronged attack.
Cadamateri had another half chance to break the deadlock on 7o minutes but saw his turn and shot easily collected by Rachubka.
Town came the closest to opening their account with 15 minutes remaining when Clarke chested down a ricochet and hit a looping volley which grazed the topside of Ricketts' bar.
The visitors made their first change with just over ten minute remaining when Bobby Petta replaced Morrison.
Town were denied by a goal-line deflection on 80 minutes when Schofield latched onto a long Clarke throw from the right but saw his goal-bound effort ricochet over the bar and behind for a corner.
Booth could have opened the scoring on 83 minutes when a Carss set piece was floated to the back post for the Town legend to head goalward but he saw his effort roll along the roof of the net. It was Groundhog Day moments later for the terrace favourite when he again met a Carss set-piece at the back post and found the roof of the net.
