OVER 100 ATTEND DONKEY DERBY

Posted on: Fri 27 Nov 2009

The annual 'On the Move' Donkey Derby was attended by over one hundred people on Wednesday evening as the Club celebrated Christmas early!

Due to the power cut that affected the Galpharm Stadium on Wednesday, the ever-popular event switched venues to the Fantastic Media suite but that didn't dampen spirits, with everyone enjoying the evening.

First team players Jordan Rhodes, Lee Novak, Jack Hunt, Leigh Franks, Liam Ridehalgh, Lewis Nightingale and Club Ambassador Andy Booth all answered probing questions from compere Sean Jarvis before Dave Platt took centre stage, as fans got to bet on six 'Donkey Derby' races! A pie and pea supper was also provided for all in attendance.

All proceeds from the evening went straight to supporting the Huddersfield Town Academy.

The next event from the Promotions Department is set for 13th December, when the Blue and White Foundation Junior Christmas Party takes place in the English Partnership suite at the Galpharm Stadium. This event is exclusive to junior members of the BWF - to get involved, call the Promotions Department on 01484 484146!
