There is a week to go until the Run For Pounds deadline, our 10km run in aid of the 'Keep It Up' campaign - so don't miss out!
Join before 1 March and join Commercial Director Sean Jarvis and company by competing in our first running event within Huddersfield, which we are sure will be a great event!
"It'll be a fantastic event for people to be part of", said Sean.
"We've enjoyed success on our big charity campaigns outside Huddersfield, with 300 people signing up for 'Pedal for Pounds 3' and over 170 signed up for 'Walk for Pounds' to Bury on 3 March and now it's time to do something big on our doorstep.
"The beauty with it being a 10 kilometre run is that anyone can do it at their own speed, with minimal training required, and I'd urge anyone to give it a go; it doesn't matter what ability level you're at - you'll be ahead of me!"
Whilst we will still accept applications after this date we cannot guarantee your entry shirt, finishing pack or race timing system.
The event starts and finishes here at the Stadium at 9am on Sunday 18 March and costs just £15 to sign up, which includes refreshment during run, goody bag upon finish and race t-shirt. To sign up or for further information visit www.runforpounds.com!

Tom says...variety is the spice of life!
Fitness Coach Tom Little returns for his latest running tip:

Week 5...variety
Try running new routes. Plodding the same old roads can become boring. A new route makes the time go much quicker. Huddersfield and the surrounding areas have some spectacular scenery that makes running very rewarding. One of the best things I ever did was buy an Ordinance Survey map.
When you can't be bothered training, just try to start and complete 5mins. By that time the endorphins from exercise have taken over, and the run becomes no problem
