Fans favourite Peter Jackson, who both managed and played for the Club, has become the 100th entrant of our sponsored 'Walk for Pounds' event, in aid of the 'Keep It Up' campaign!
'Jacko' will be trekking the 27 miles to Bury on Saturday 3 March, along with many other Town fans to raise funds for both the HTAFC Academy and the lifesaving charity, the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Peter commented "When I heard the Club was organising the walk, I knew I wanted to get involved. I've done sponsored events like this for charities in the past, and think that the two causes involved in the 'Keep It Up' campaign are very deserving. I'm looking forward to doing the walk, and seeing some familiar faces!"
The walk to Bury's Gigg Lane is just one of three sponsored events the Club has organised for 2012- there is also a 10km 'Run for Pounds' on Sunday 18 March, as well as the much-publicised 'Pedal for Pounds 3' charity bike ride at the beginning of May.
The 'Keep It Up' campaign, the Club's charity partnership with YAA, has raised almost £400,000 since its inception in 2009, with the Club's goal being to hit the half a million mark by the end of 2011/12.
