Another 'Knight of Yorkshire' is utilising his business to raise £1,000 towards the 'Keep It Up' campaign throughout the 2010/11 season as the campaign continues to gather pace.
Town fan Craig Williamson went to his first match at the old Leeds Road ground way back in 1988, but these days he runs Lincoln Car Sales in Lincolnshire and he will combine his work life with his passion for the Club to raise much-needed funds for the Town Academy and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Craig will donate £10 to 'Keep It Up' for every car he sells during the 2010/11 npower League One season, with a further £5 going into the pot every time that Lee Clark's side score a goal in the League!
"I thought it was fantastic that Town raised £120,000 for the 'Keep It Up' campaign last season, but they can't be expected to do all that fundraising by themselves and I want to play my part," Craig explained today.
"It's a very important cause and I'm planning to raise between £1,000 and £3,000 towards 'Keep it Up' throughout the season via this scheme and others such as a 'curry-a-thon', a charity waxing and a 'Body Shop at home' party at my sister's house in Huddersfield.
"Despite my move to Lincoln, a lot of my friends and family still live in Yorkshire; one in particular races motorbikes and although I hope he never needs it, it's very important to me that the Yorkshire Air Ambulance is on hand to help."
Craig is just one of the 100 'Knights of Yorkshire' that Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance are looking for to go above and beyond the call of duty to raise at least £1,000 for the 'Keep It Up' campaign over the forthcoming months.
Not only will you will be raising money for a life-saving cause, but you will also be rewarded with a Huddersfield Town Season Ticket for the 2011/12 season once you have raised £1,000!
In addition, you will also be given a ticket for Town's 'Super Draw' - with one lucky winner drawn at random getting a squad number for the 2011/12 campaign!
How you raise the £1,000 is totally up to you, but you will receive the full backing of everyone involved in the 'Keep It Up' campaign including event suggestions, invitations to Club-organised events, sponsorship advice and much, much more!
