OVER 450 ATTEND XMAS CELEBRATION

Over 450 people attended the 'Keep It Up' campaign Christmas Celebration held at Wakefield Cathedral last night.

Paul Gowland of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance opened the evening before Canon Michael Rawson - Sub Dean of Wakefield Cathedral - gave the official welcome and opening prayer.

Academy scholars Michael McCaffery and Adam Field then read a passage from the Bible before first team captain Peter Clarke read 'Embrace the Night' by Clay Harrison.

The Crofton Silver Band then did one of their many performances throughout the evening before Silcoates Junior School Choir and Wakefield Independent School Choir led everyone in some traditional Christmas carolling!

Melanie Broadbent of Yorkshire Air Ambulance closed the evening with a reading from Luke 2.8-20.

Organised by Huddersfield Town and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, all money raised from the evening went to 'Keep It Up', which distributes funds to Town's Academy and the charity. The event was attended by the entire first team squad and staff, as well as the Academy staff and players.

Thanks must also go to new Club partner Sainsbury's, who provided the refreshments (click HERE for info on their new partnership with Town).

Thank you to everyone who attended from everyone at Huddersfield Town!
