Over one hundred business representatives from the region flocked to the Yorkshire Business Forum held at the Yorkshire County Cricket Club yesterday for an afternoon of networking and an exchange of ideas.
Organised by Huddersfield Town and Yorkshire County Cricket Club, the first forum of the year was held at Headingley, Leeds and attended by over 100 businesses from the region. The event is sponsored for a second year by Chadwick Lawrence, Yorkshire's Legal People, who backed a series of similar networking events held by Huddersfield Town during 2008.
Speakers at the first event were YCCC Chief Executive Stewart Regan (pictured above), Michael Watson from Chadwick Lawrence and Andy Green from Green PR. Food was served before attendees enjoyed the Yorkshire vs. Durham twenty20 game.

Sean Jarvis, Director of Business Development at Huddersfield Town, told htafc.com that the event was a great success:
"We were all delighted with how the forum went and with the number of businesses that attended. I think that every attendee would agree that it was a very useful and productive afternoon and that some great ideas came from the forum. It also helped that Yorkshire won their twenty20 game to cap off the day!
"I thought the speakers were excellent on the afternoon; Stewart Regan of YCCC spoke brilliantly about his attitude towards management and the business plan of Yorkshire, whereas Andy Green gave a very interesting presentation about seizing opportunities and approaching business problems in different ways. Michael Watson of Chadwick Lawrence also gave an interesting legal perspective on regular business issues.
"I would like to thank Chadwick Lawrence for their backing of the event; it was a great success which is also credit to the hard work from YCCC and also to all the businesses that attended."
