The inaugural Huddersfield Town Corporate 6-a-side tournament took place at the Zone on St. Andrews Road last night and was a resounding success.
The event, which started at 5pm, featured 11 different businesses - with the eventual winners being Britannia Rescue, who were managed on the evening by Town's Andy Holdsworth. They beat Nathan Clarke's Oval Insurance Brokers side 2-1 in the Final.
Each of the teams were managed by a Town first-team squad member, with the most daunting task falling to Michael Collins - he was put in charge of the Card Factory side, which featured Town Chairman-elect Dean Hoyle, Chief Executive Nigel Clibbens and Director of Business Development Sean Jarvis! Michael is pictured above with his team, who finished third in their group of six.
Town Kit Man Andy Brook won the 'Crossbar Challenge' competition to round off the evening before each player enjoyed a Pie and Pea supper.
A special mention must go to new away kit sponsors Thornton + Ross and their manager Tom Clarke - they picked up the wooden spoon for finishing in last place!
