JARVIS GETS FULL-TIME TOWN ROLE
Director of Business Development Sean Jarvis is now a full-time Huddersfield Town employee.
The former Director of Marketing at Oldham Athletic moved to the Galpharm Stadium in August 2006, but after two years of performing a combined role between Town and the Huddersfield Giants he will now focus solely on the commercial activities of the football club.
Town Chairman Ken Davy today explained the change in role to htafc.com.
"As we approach the start of Huddersfield Town's new season, we have the mouth-watering prospect of huge attendances and a recipe for a truly memorable and successful Centenary season for our great Club," Ken explained.
"Needless to say along with this excitement and opportunity comes a massive amount of activity and pressure as together we seek to maximise the commercial and other benefits flowing from this opportunity. In this context Sean would have an almost impossible task of trying to balance his activities between both Town and the Giants and as a result both myself, Chairman-elect Dean Hoyle and Sean have concluded that enabling him to focus his energies on Town's needs is the best way forward for everyone."
Jarvis himself told the Club's official website that he was delighted with the change in role.
"Since joining the Club two years ago I've thoroughly enjoyed my role, but with the football club expanding its fan-base for the forthcoming season it is now necessary to work full-time on maximising the available opportunities.
"I will continue to work my hardest to ensure that Huddersfield Town is a success not just on the field, but off it too."
Richard Thewlis, Managing Director of the Huddersfield Giants, thanked Sean for his hard work over the last two years.
"I would like to thank Sean on behalf of the Giants board for his hard work and commitment and for the huge strides we have made in his time. Our attendances have never been higher in the Super League era and we have improved our commercial base no end. We all wish Sean every success at Huddersfield Town and for our part a degree of restructuring internally will take place which I will expand upon in the coming weeks. These are though very exciting times for both clubs."
