REACH AN AUDIENCE OF MILLIONS WITH TOWN

Posted on: Tue 24 Jan 2012

Huddersfield Town has been a hot topic across the world of football and beyond recently thanks to the record-breaking unbeaten streak of 43 games, the form of Jordan Rhodes and three televised games to name just a few reasons.

The latest figures from the Football League echo this - and show there has never been a better time to join up with the Club!

Millions of people across the country have been watching the Terriers on TV recently, mostly thanks to three televised fixtures. For instance, an average of 546,000 people watched the top of the table clash at Charlton Athletic on 28 November - with a peak of just over 700,000 tuning it at one point!

That was followed up by an average of roughly 370,000 people who witnessed Rhodes' five goal haul at Wycombe in early January.

Most recently the Terriers were televised on home soil with a dramatic comeback sealing a 3-2 home victory over Brentford in Sky's late Saturday broadcast. Over the weekend an average of 188,000 people watched the game from their home, with roughly a further 150,000 watching elsewhere. At one point a peak of 268,000 people were watching from their sofa!

Those figures are purely domestic; a further 31 broadcasters had the rights to broadcast the live fixture across Africa, the Americas, Asia and mainland Europe!

As Huddersfield Town's Advertising Manager Mark Jacobs explained, there has never been a better time to join up with the Club.

"The national television coverage of Huddersfield Town continues to increase all the time and having an advertising presence at the ground really could pay off, particularly for those businesses with strong brands.

"We have a strong nationwide and ever-increasing worldwide audience and the exposure that Huddersfield Town can offer you at a very reasonable price is definitely worth consideration. We still have tier two pitch-facing boards available, as well as crowd facing boards.

"We still have space for boards around the main pitch at Canalside Sports Complex, which is particularly relevant as a lot of TV interviews and coverage takes place there throughout the week. Canalside also hosts Town's Academy home games every weekend.

"Joining us and being a member of the Huddersfield Town family also brings many other benefits, such as superb networking opportunities - giving companies the ability to forge new relationships with other like-minded business people."

Those live figures add to the already impressive statistics from the highlights and preview packages that Town frequently appear on. For instance, the Terriers have already appeared on the BBC's 'Football Focus' once this season - and plans are afoot for another upcoming feature on the Club. That show pulls in an amazing average viewership of 1,446,150 viewers!

The Saturday night highlights package 'The Football League Show' also features Town every week and is watched by an average of 1,105,526 people, whereas the Club regularly features on the likes of Sky's Soccer AM (292,895), Goals on Sunday (160,737), Netbusters (100,944) and Football League Weekend (61,500).

Of course, if the local audience is of particular interest then Huddersfield Town also pulls in impressive figures; last season over 260,000 fans came through the Stadium's turnstiles.
