For two weeks in late July Graham Mitchell and his under-18 Academy side will travel to Holland to take on some of Europe's best young talent in a prestigious pre-season trip arranged by the League Football Education.
Town's young players have been selected to represent League One due to their performance on the field and as an Academy as a whole, with Aldershot representing League Two and Crystal Palace the Championship.
The under-18s will jet off to Holland on July 19 and spend the first week of their trip staying and training at some of Holland's top clubs, which could include Ajax, Feyenoord and Vitesse. For the second week a mini-international tournament has been arranged which Town will be involved in; teams from Holland and other countries around the world will compete against the Terriers before they return to England on July 31.
"It's a great honour to have been selected by the LFE to go on this trip - I think it speaks volumes for the work we are currently undertaking and have been over the last 12 months throughout the Academy," Academy Manager Graham Mitchell told htafc.com.

"The tour should be really beneficial for the scholars; getting away will be a great bonding experience for the players and a learning experience for the coaches. It is a great opportunity to promote Huddersfield Town Football Club and create links for the future of the Academy."
The LFE is funded by the Learning and Skills Council to deliver the Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence. As an Academy, Town encompass the LFE's requirements into their education policy - with all scholars undertaking a thorough programme throughout the course of their two years.
